In 2009, martyrs’ cemetery of Hau Giang province was built with an area of over 45m2, and the scale of about 5.000 heroes’ tomb. By 2014, the structure was completed and ready to be put in service.
However, in the process of using, in terms of architecture, landscape and some items are not guaranteed and suitable, such as no patriotic-war-dead memorial house, no drainage system, the trees not incompatible with the soil and climate, gates and front fences do not show the majesty and solemnity which should be following the significance of the provincial martyrs’ cemetery.
Therefore, Green Vietnam Fund together with Aquaone Hau Giang decided to spend more than 10 billion vnd of sponsorship’s total budget to upgrade and refurbish those additional items as mentioned above.
This structure which brings the solemnity, majesty, and a green area to the whole cemetery, plays an important role. It has shown how the principle “When drinking water, think of its source” works as well as remind us to always remember those soldiers who fought for the national liberation and national independence.
