In 2016, in Song Hau Industrial Zone (Chau Thanh District, Hau Giang Province), on behalf of the Fund, Ms. Do Thi Kim Lien – Chairwoman of Green Vietnam Fund, donated VND 500 million to Hau Giang Province. This money was used in implementing the technical infrastructure project for tree planting and improve the environment therein.
Chairwoman Do Thi Kim Lien shared: “Although Hau Giang is a poor province because of its 12-year establishment, it is a potential land. The people here are friendly, hospitable and very resilient despite a difficult life. Over the pass time, we have assisted the province to build many compassionate houses for poor households under special policies in Phung Hiep, Long My and Vi Thuy Districts, etc. partially helping residents settle down and develop economy. Through this Fund, we hope that Hau Giang will soon witness a “new appearance” in the near future”
According to Ms. Kim Lien, the Fund has participated in upgrading and intensively restoring Hau Giang Martyrs’ Cemetery in gratitude to citizens and soldiers having fought for national liberation and defense. With the desire for greening the living environment, we continue to donate VND 500 million to implement a technical infrastructure project for green tree planting in Hau Giang.
